The Garmin GPSMAP 540 features a bright 5' QVGA color display, satellite-enhanced worldwide basemap imagery, and an SD card slot that makes it easy to add features with optional the BlueChart® g2 Vision card. Like all Garmin plotters, the Garmin GPSMAP 540 utilizes WAAS/EGNOS-enabled GPS receivers for extreme high accuracy (typically within 3 meters).
The Garmin GPSMAP 540 includes U.S. detailed offshore maps with BlueChart coverage of the USA and Bahamas.

Please note: The Garmin GPSMAP 540 comes with an internal GPS antenna. To flush mount the Garmin GPSMAP 540 or mount in an enclosed area, you will need an external antenna. Please use the GA29 GPS antenna that can be found on the Accessories Section of this page.
