Garmin GMI 10 Digital Marine Instrument


The Garmin GMI 10 Digital Marine Instrument display adds a new dimension of flexibility for boaters who want a fully integrated marine instrument system.


Simplify Marine Instrumentation with the Garmin GMI 10 Digital Marine Instrument


The Garmin GMI 10 improves upon the traditional method of marine instrumentation, in which standard marine instruments have their own dedicated display. By displaying data from multiple remote sensors on one screen, the Garmin GMI 10 offers a streamlined approach to marine instrumentation.


Mariners can use the Garmin GMI 10 to display instrument data such as depth, speed through the water, water temperature, fuel flow rate, engine data, fuel level, wind direction and more, depending upon what sensors are connected. In fact, the Garmin GMI 10 supports more than two dozen standard NMEA 2000 and more than 20 NMEA 0183 data sentences.


Connects with the Garmin Family of Marine Sensors with the Garmin GMI 10 Digital Marine Instrument


Featuring a bright, 3.5” QVGA screen in a sleek 4-inch flush-mount bezel, the Garmin GMI 10 serves as the hub of a family of integrated Garmin marine sensors, all connected via NMEA 2000 or NMEA 0183 data ports.


The Garmin GMI 10 marine instrument family consists of the GFS 10 fuel sensor, NMEA 2000 and NMEA 0183 Intelliducers and the GPS 17x high sensitivity receiver/antenna.


With integration via NMEA 2000 ports, any of these units can be added or removed from the NMEA 2000 bus without affecting other units on the bus. These units can also connect to any Garmin Marine Network chartplotters that have a NMEA 2000 port.

The Garmin GWS 10 wind sensor puts even more control in the hands of the sailor, allowing you to maximize the performance and speed of your boat with the use of wind vane technology.

The Garmin GWS 10 uses a wind vane for detection of wind direction and an anemometer to register wind speed. These measurements enhance your boat’s potential as you adjust your sail accordingly to harness the wind’s strength. Besides delivering wind measurements, the Garmin GWS 10 captures barometric pressure and air temperature data. When combined with other sensors, the Garmin GWS 10 provides those on board the ability to gather specific wind data such as ground and true wind, wind VMG and track heading.

Combining wind and weather measurement from a single, integrated sensing unit, the Garmin GWS 10 installs with ease – providing data output to your cockpit display via NMEA 2000 cable and bus, which powers the unit. The Garmin GWS 10 is designed to interface with Garmin’s GMI 10 universal marine instrument, the 4000 and 5000 chartplotter series or any manufacturer’s NMEA 2000-enabled chartplotters and displays.
