ACR AquaFix 406 is a Personal EPIRB with Both GPS Interface & Onboard GPS

The ACR AquaFix 406 transmits on 406 MHz via the COSPAS-SARSAT satellite system with your registered unique, digitally coded distress signal and 121.5 MHz (SAR homing frequency)

 
The ACR AquaFix 406's onboard GPS acquires LAT/LON when the unit is activated, your LAT/LON are transmitted as soon as acquired providing rescue agencies with your exact position to within 100 meters (110 yards)

The ACR AquaFix 406 has a GPS interface (NMEA 0183) that allows you to download your GPS coordinates from a GPS receiver into your P-EPIRB; when activated, your LAT/LON will accompany your 406 MHz signal on the first burst, dramatically saving valuable time for your distress message to reach local rescue centers

The ACR AquaFix 406 has a removable holster that provides functionality, style and protection for your P-EPIRB; allows for multiple mounting options to backpacks, belt, webbing, and life vests

The ACR AquaFix 406 is the smallest and most functional P-EPIRB available; can be easily carried in a pack or on a life jacket; small enough to wear on deck by yachting racers, crew, solo cruisers, or any marine enthusiast

Full functional self test of internal circuitry, battery power, 406 MHz transmission, and GPS acquisition

Flat, stainless steel antenna wraps compactly around the unit for easy stowage; and is ready for rapid deployment

Floats to avoid loss if dropped in water, exceeds RTCM waterproof requirements
