ACR Electronics, Inc., the leader in safety and survival technologies, has introduced the world's newest and smallest Personal Locator Beacon (PLB), the ACR ResQFix 406, a one-button activated, emergency signaling device for recreational boaters, commercial mariners and fishermen.


The ACR ResQFix 406, which has just received FCC approvals, is 35% smaller and 25% lighter than its predecessor, the ACR AquaFix 406 , a PLB that aided in the rescue of a number of distressed mariners around the world over the course of the last two years.


Weighing in at just 10 oz (285 g), the ACR ResQFix 406 is easily carried in a pack or pocket and is small enough to be worn on deck by yachting racers, crew, solo cruisers and any other marine enthusiasts. A lanyard and clip provide functionality and allow for multiple mounting options. A Class I PLB, the ACR ResQFix 406 exceed RTCM waterproof requirements and comes with a permanent flotation pouch for buoyancy.
