Received this light to replace a 5yr old light that stopped working. Right away I noticed a difference between the old light and the new one. The old lights power leads were enclosed in a protective jacket. The new light had the two bare wires attached but no protective jacket. I covered the wires with heat shrink tubing that I did not shrink. I did double marine heat shrink the soldered connection I made to my boats wiring.
